One of my day jobs consists of working on race cars from time to time. Anything from scrubbing wheel tubs to changing out motors and so on. I started work with my step dad when I was about 16 or 17. We originally just worked on any kind of hot rod, then when I graduated, we went to Florida and worked with fellow named Pat Musi.
From there, there have been many cars and lots of races on the NHRA circuit.
Here are a couple of pictures of a comp-eliminator car that we worked on this past summer and my step dad Jim Hayter actually tuned to set a few records last summer. Oh, and the dog is "Max" our guard dog. Although I think the only he guards is his food bowl.
